Updated January 31, 2013
The log in feature is now visible from every page on
the CAP Web site; you can log in at any time.
Once you have logged into the site, you will see a
welcome message and a list of Personalized Options links on the left side
of the page. You can access functionality depending on your membership
status and access privileges. For example, once you have logged in, you
can edit your profile or access your education transcript. You may also
see links to special member-only content and services. Authorized laboratory
program users will have access to the additional functionality of e-LAB
Solutions, such as online CAP LINKS reports, result forms, and online
reports.
Requesting an Account
The registration process to obtain a user ID for the CAP Web site is simple.
You only need to enter information in the required fields (which are designated
by asterisks [*]) on the online application and submit the application.
Some of the information is required to protect your account (such as mother’s
maiden name, last four digits of your Social Security number, and city of
birth).
- You can update your account at any time.
- You can select the checkbox to remember your user
ID and password. (We recommend that you do this only if you are the
only user of your computer.)
- If you forget your password, you can request a temporary
password, which will be e-mailed to you instantly. When you have received
your temporary password, you will be prompted to change it when you
next log in.
- Alternatively, you can enter the correct answers
to the security questions, after which you will be prompted to change
your log in ID and password.
Increased Security
The Web site has increased security so that individual and laboratory
data is secured for individuals with the appropriate access to that information.
