Reports to: Board of Governors
Charge: To set the strategic direction for CAP education activities and to assure their overall effectiveness in fulfilling the CAP vision.
Chair: Gail Habegger Vance, MD, FCAP
Staff: Ann Neumann
Number of face-to-face meetings:4
Length of each meeting: 1½ days
Typical meeting days of the week: Friday and Saturday
Location of meetings: Two meetings in Chicago (downtown), two meetings elsewhere as determined by the chair with input from committee members
Number of conference calls: 2-3 per year, 30-60 minutes each
Hours of committee work required outside of
meetings:
Committee members: 10-20 hrs/yr
Vice-Chair: 20-30 hrs/yr
Chair: 60-80 hrs/yr
ACCME Working Group: 20-30 hrs/yr
Additional travel or time commitments:
- Attendance at CAP Annual Meeting
- Attendance as appropriate at other council/committee meetings for the Chair
- Attendance at jointly sponsored education activities as appropriate (i.e., state pathology society education events)
