Resources for H1N1 Information from the CAP

Posted September 16, 2009

With the H1N1 strain of the influenza A virus so prominently positioned in the news and on people’s minds, the College of American Pathologists (CAP) is providing the following information as a benefit to members, laboratories, news media, and other visitors to the CAP Website.

Included in this information is an online fact sheet with answers to frequently asked questions, a copy of the August 2009 CAP Today article about “How Molecular Labs Took on Swine Flu,” an Online Media Kit providing more information about the critical role of the CAP and of the pathologist in the detection of H1N1, as well as links to the H1N1 pages of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) offering the most up-to-date information.
