The International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO^®) releases updates to the International Release of SNOMED CT twice per year to ensure that the terminology reflects the latest clinical knowledge and evolving user needs. CAP STS develops and maintains SNOMED CT for the IHTSDO.

January 7, 2010 CAP SNOMED Terminology Solutions (STS) released the new CAP electronic Cancer Checklists (CAP eCC)—the XML version of the updated CAP Cancer Checklists. The latest CAP eCC release contains all of the new and updated content in the CAP Cancer protocols posted October 2009, and elements from the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual 7th Edition.
