Richard C. Friedberg, MD, PhD, FCAP, Chair of the CAP Council on Government and Professional Affairs noted “We are delighted that Senator Burr will address CAP members at the 2013 Policy Meeting. He’s a key figure in building a stronger, more sustainable Medicare program through immediate and longer-term reforms, many rooted in long-standing, bipartisan ideas. Senator Burr understands that provider cuts will only jeopardize access to care and he’s proposing reforms that will address the serious challenges facing the program today and in the future.”
