A 47-year-old woman two years status-post radiation for squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix and eight-months’ status post-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for acute myeloid leukemia, was recently hospitalized and developed nosocomial pneumonia. She subsequently developed severe bloody, watery diarrhea requiring a subtotal colectomy. Grossly, the colon contained diffuse yellow-white mucosal plaques.
