| Geller Fund Established

The College of American Pathologists Foundation is honored to establish the Stephen A. Geller Fund.
The fund is created to recognize Dr. Geller’s exemplary service in and his
academic contributions to the science and practice of pathology. The fund will
support educational and research opportunities that will challenge young physicians
in their pursuit of a career in pathology.
Dr. Geller foresees the widespread incorporation of molecular technology into
the practice of pathology and wants to see increasing educational opportunities
to assure that pathologists continue to provide the best patient care. He believes
the CAP Foundation has a key role in assuring pathology’s future and that it
is needed more than ever as pathology is challenged by an increasing reliance
on technology by other medical specialties. Dr. Geller believes that the Foundation’s
educational and research programs are a significant way for pathology to move
ahead and remain vital.
