Volunteer for Committee Service
Many CAP members volunteer each year for committee
service. CAP committee membership is a serious responsibility and the
rewards are substantial. If you are appointed to a committee, please be
a conscientious and responsible volunteer or refrain from committee work
until your schedule is more convenient. Please refer to the committee
pages for detailed information about committee responsibilities.
An effort is made to match interested members with
an appropriate committee, though not all interested members can be accommodated
every year.
If you are interested in serving on a committee, please
complete the appropriate CAP committee application and send it with your curriculum vitae to the contact listed on the application form.
The appointment process begins in spring and is completed
with Board of Governors approval in the fall. If you are selected for
a committee, you will be notified in October. Committee appointments generally
become effective in January of the following year.
The Junior Member application deadline was May 29, 2009, for the 2010 committee year openings. No Junior Member applications will be accepted at this time. The Junior Member openings for 2011 committee service will be available in Spring 2010.
