The CAP has always been committed to helping pathologists meet the lifelong learning requirements and is working to ensure that our CME programs address learning needs across the six competency categories as defined by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) and endorsed by the American Board of Pathology (ABP).

All CAP educational activities providing CME credit hours meet the Part II: Life-long Learning and Self-Assessment Module requirements for MOC. Additionally, selected CAP education activities are eligible for SAM credits and are labeled for your convenience. These activities meet the ABP requirements for Self-Assessment Modules and provide credits to fulfill the SAM credit requirements for MOC.

CAP education activities are also labeled with one or more MOC icons indicating the competency categories addressed in the education activity’s content. The icons provide a tool to help you develop a learning plan that meets your needs and fulfills your competency categories.
