Another enhancement to the CourseBuilder tool lets you add audio and video to CourseBuilder. For example, if you want to offer some training based on a live session, you can upload a video. Try video instead of still photos to enhance your employees’ learning experiences.
Here’s an excerpt from the users’ guide that explains the addition of audio and video capabilities in CourseBuilder:
Audio and video embedding is now available for all pages. When creating or editing a page, you can now add audio or video to enhance your course. Audio and video files can be set to auto-play; this is a great way to narrate your content or question pages.
Audio files can be included on Competency Assessment, content, posttest pages, and instruction pages. An audio file can be uploaded once and then used in one or more locations in the course. Only MP3 audio files can be uploaded and used in the course.
Include video files about Competency Assessment, content, posttest pages, or instruction pages. A video file can be uploaded once and then used in one or more locations in the course. Only M4V, MOV, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, M2V, AVI, FLV, and WMV video files can be uploaded and used in the course. Important Note: All uploaded video files must undergo an encoding process. This process may take up to 60 minutes to complete. Video files awaiting or undergoing encoding will not display on pages they are assigned until the encoding process has completed.
