We’re implementing initiatives to conserve energy, minimize waste, and use recycled products. Initiatives that your laboratory and the earth will benefit from include changes to delivery of online programs and changes to our Surveys and other catalogs.
Delivery of Online Programs by Email
You asked, and we listened. We have heard from our customers that you want to receive information in a more convenient, timely, and electronic format.
Beginning this month, select online program shipments (starting with the April 16 with the FNA and EHE1 shipments) are being delivered by email to laboratories’ CAP shipping contacts. Kit instructions, the program activity, and results submission will now all be accessible through e-LAB Solutions™ or the CAP Learning Portal. This earth-friendly, paperless approach provides labs with same-day delivery right to their email box and supports green initiatives, saving paper and energy resources.
A Greener Catalog
Beginning with the 2013 Surveys catalog, we will move from a wire-ring bound format to a softcover book format, significantly reducing the amount of materials and energy that go into producing our catalog. We will also continue to work with printers that support wind power; utilize paper products from well-managed forests, controlled sources, and recycled wood or fiber; and inks containing soy and/or vegetable oils—all better for our environment.
