The Online Digital Slide Programs are designed as educational programs for participants to assess and improve their diagnostic skills in various areas of pathology. Using digital image technology to simulate the use of a microscope in evaluating slides enables the use of a wide variety of case materials and provides all participants with identical diagnostic challenges.
The CAP currently offers two full Online Digital Slide Programs: one in Dermatopathology and another in Surgical Pathology. In addition, digital slide cases are included with the Interlaboratory Comparison Programs in Non-Gynecologic and Gynecologic Cytopathology and with PAP PT.
