CAP Begins Monitoring of Proficiency Testing Performance of Vitamin D

Beginning in 2012, CAP-accredited laboratories performing Vitamin D, 25-hydroxy on patient samples are required to enroll, participate and maintain successful performance in the BGS Survey (or other CAP-accepted PT). The CAP’s Laboratory Accreditation Program will monitor BGS proficiency testing performance. One or more of the following activities is being performed by your laboratory according to our records:

• 2305 Vitamin D, 25-hydroxy
• 4061 Vitamin D, 25-hydroxy
• 4808 Vitamin D, 25-hydroxy
