Posted September 29, 2010

The College of American Pathologists is soliciting feedback from laboratories using the Histocompatibility checklist (HSC). Please review the Harmonization of Histocompatibility Typing Terms Statement. The Statement consists of proposed terminology, definitions of resolution levels, format for reporting HLA assignments, and match reporting for transplantation. The intent is for these definitions to become the de facto standard for stem cell typing.

Your feedback and input are important. Please email your comments and suggestions to Dr. Brad Eisenbrey, (aeisenbrey@giftoflifemichigan.org) Vice Chair of the CAP Histocompatibility Committee, on or before December 31, 2010.

Thank you for your support and commitment to CAP laboratory clinical excellence, the Gold Standard of laboratory accreditation. If you have questions, please contact the CAP Customer Contact Center at 800-323-4040 option 1, then 4, or email us.
