As an inspector for the only peer-based laboratory accreditation program in the industry, you will see first-hand how the interchange of ideas between practicing laboratorians helps both you and the inspected lab achieve and uphold the highest standards of quality patient testing. In order to make the inspection as consistent, objective and effective as possible, the CAP requires its inspectors to be current on the accreditation requirements and to have the appropriate knowledge and skills to successfully conduct an inspection.
To achieve this goal, the Laboratory Accreditation Program offers a CME/CE-bearing Inspector Training Curriculum, provided at no cost to the participant. For information or to enroll, call the Education Division at 800-323-4040, extension 7525 or 847-832-7525, or send an e-mail to education@cap.org.
