Helping to develop careers in pathology
Pathology is an increasingly complex specialty, which requires mastery of a variety of emerging scientific techniques and technologies. To help residents and those in fellowship programs maximize their understanding of these challenging technical trends, the Foundation offers a variety of Advanced Training Grants. These grants offer residents and residents doing fellowships the opportunity to extend their study well beyond their required training—and give them a depth of knowledge that enriches their abilities. We believe that the next generation of pathologists must be on the cutting edge, and the concept of advanced training helps put them there.
The Foundation’s Advanced Training Grants, also known as elective training rotation grants, support education in any advanced science, technique, or technology. Grants may be up to $2,000/month and can be awarded for training opportunities of multiple days up to three months.
