Doris Kearns GoodwinSpotlight Event—Leadership Lessons: How the Past Can Help You with Change Today
Gifted historian and storyteller, Doris Kearns Goodwin, will share lessons in leadership relevant to today’s issues and headlines from some of the country’s greatest figures. Her most recent work: Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, inspires business and political leaders of today by teaching Lincoln’s quiet but powerful leadership qualities.

Hear how Lincoln used his wisdom to build and maintain teams, as well as overcome incredible obstacles in the midst of critically trying circumstances. Ms. Goodwin will offer her insight into the parallels between President Barack Obama and Abraham Lincoln. Both leaders centered their platforms on “change”—a message that applies today not only to our nation, but also to the specialty of pathology. Come and be inspired by these timeless leadership lessons that rang true nearly 150 years ago and still apply today.
