Point-of-care testing (POCT) is one of the most rapidly growing and diverse aspects of laboratory testing. The process for assessing needs; selecting specific test options, suitable sites, and resources; involving stakeholders; and implementing and evaluating POCT can be chaotic. This course will present options to assist pathologists with responsibility for directing POCT to navigate through the process of providing the best POCT services. The course will use established programs as models or suggestions for effective processes. Faculty will solicit input from attendees about their experiences, including problems and success stories.
