Message from the CAP President
Dear Colleague:
With your interests and needs as our focus, we’ve created a special meeting you won’t want to miss.
CAP ’11 – THE Pathologists’ Meeting™, September 11–14, in Grapevine (Dallas/Ft. Worth), Texas, is our biggest and most extraordinary meeting yet. Here’s just a sample of what you, our members, are saying about our annual meeting:
- “Excellent quality”
- “Courses are pertinent, timely, and focused on important issues”
- “The best sources for practice-related and emerging aspects that impact pathology”
- “Fantastic meeting”
There is no doubt the CAP is now leading the way on practical take-home-and-use education for you, the practicing pathologist. We’ve designed CAP ’11 to exceed your expectations, and we’ve created an extraordinary event for you, including:
Superior Education and Special New Tracks–
CAP ’11 will offer more than 95 courses, including a broad menu of AP, CP, and practice management topics. New for CAP ’11 are two featured scientific tracks in hematopathology and dermatopathology. We’ll also host several new virtual courses for members who are unable to attend in person.
CAP education is proven to show that members find CAP courses valuable, useful, and practical. In addition, a majority of members surveyed tell us they’ve made specific behavior changes as a result of attending a CAP annual meeting course. We know of no other pathology meeting that can demonstrate such an impact!
Unique Speakers and Presentations–
Be sure to check our Scientific Plenary and Spotlight Event. We’ve got some big plans with dynamic and informed presenters.
Unmatched Networking and Social Events–
You’ve told us you want networking, and no one does this better than the CAP. CAP ’11 is the place to meet colleagues and network with other pathologists from across the US, Canada, and abroad. We’ve designed CAP ’11 around several key networking and social events, including receptions, a residents lounge—exclusively for CAP Junior Members—and a guest hospitality lounge for others who may travel with you.
A Special New Venue–
CAP ’11 is coming to Texas! Brimming with authentic Texas style and hospitality, the awe-inspiring Gaylord Texan invites you to experience the energy and excitement of the Lone Star State. Overlooking beautiful Lake Grapevine, Gaylord Texan is just six minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Underneath its signature majestic and climate-controlled glass atriums, you’ll find some of the most distinctive shopping, dining, and recreation options under one roof! This new venue gives us unique opportunities for networking and social events.
With so many great reasons to attend CAP ’11, there is no doubt we will exceed your expectations for a meeting that is like no other. I invite you to join me at CAP ’11 – THE Pathologists’ Meeting™.
Sincerely,
Stephen N. Bauer, MD, FCAP
CAP President
