Faculty will address areas of lung and pleural pathology that keep cropping up as recurrent problems in consultation. Topics include differential diagnosis of interstitial pneumonia, aspiration, pulmonary hemorrhage, well-differentiated papillary mesothelioma, and solitary fibrous tumor. Learn how to recognize pulmonary drug reactions and viral infections, what is and isn't asbestosis, and what can and can’t be diagnosed by transbronchial biopsy. Faculty will emphasize what information you should request from the radiologist and clinician as well as the information that the clinician wants from you.
