CP102 Assessing Monoclonal Gammopathies: Do You Know What Tests to Order and How to Interpret Them?

This course will tackle the important topic of establishing an accurate diagnosis of monoclonal gammopathies through the use of contemporary laboratory testing. Faculty will emphasize the selection and interpretation of the various tests used to evaluate patients with monoclonal gammopathies (eg, chemistry, bone marrow biopsy interpretations of morphology and immunophenotyping, free light chain testing, cytogenetics, and FISH).

You will learn to:

Select and interpret laboratory tests for the accurate diagnosis of multiple myeloma
Evaluate the role of free light chains in the diagnosis, prognosis, and risk stratification of multiple myeloma
Assess monoclonal gammopathies and multiple myeloma using up-to-date molecular and flow cytometry testing
