PM100  Essentials of CPT Coding: Cytopathology, Surgical Pathology, and Molecular Pathology

Learn the essentials of CPT coding in this highly interactive session focused on accurate coding of pathology cases. Faculty will update participants on recent CPT coding changes and will discuss problematic scenarios encountered in practice. Using audience-polling technology, faculty will pose coding questions, and participants will respond anonymously, facilitating involvement and learning.

You will learn to:

• Explain the role of CPT and methodology of code valuation
• Describe recent changes to CPT codes, NCCI edits, and billing limitations pertaining to surgical pathology, cytopathology and molecular pathology
• Accurately code cases in surgical pathology, cytopathology, and molecular pathology practice
• Obtain coding information tailored to your individual needs and level of coding expertise
