CAP Advocacy Advances Pathologists’ Issues
Most interest groups and associations lobby Congress. The CAP does that and more! We’re the only organization working with policymakers at every level—public, private, state, and federal officials; regulators; legislators; and even private payers—to champion pathologists’ issues.
Get involved in CAP advocacy. Visit us at the CAP Booth and find out more.
PathPAC, the CAP’s Political Action Committee
PathPAC, the bipartisan political action committee of the College of American Pathologists, is the sole political action committee representing pathologists at the federal level. PathPAC promotes the vital role pathologists play in the country’s health care delivery system by pooling voluntary contributions from pathologists across the country in order to make direct contributions to candidates who have demonstrated their support of the CAP’s legislative priorities.
The CAP is committed to ensuring that the value of pathologists is adequately recognized in the delivery of quality patient care. This commitment requires a strong voice in Congress, where the continued debate over health care reform and a focus on improving quality and cutting costs has a significant impact on the health care marketplace and your practice. With a tremendous number of competing interests trying to influence health care policy, the CAP, through PathPAC, can set itself apart to give voice to our concerns. The CAP has launched a $1 million fundraising campaign for PathPAC to expand and strengthen our political muscle because Our Voice Matters.
