Message from the CAP President

Stanley J. Robboy, MD, FCAP Dear Colleagues:

Make the choice to attend the only meeting designed exclusively by and for board-certified pathologists, CAP ’13 – THE Pathologists’ Meeting™. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience top-notch education and speakers, networking events, and opportunities to connect with industry leaders.

CAP ’13 offers practical take-home-and-use education. You can choose from 99 courses, taught by 148 faculty experts. Members asked for more SAMs, and the CAP delivered! At CAP ’13, we will offer a total of 23 SAMs. You’ll also find 13 targeted education activities in our special endocrine pathology course track.

At the CAP ’13 Spotlight Event, Eric J. Topol, MD, a leading cardiologist, will discuss the role of molecular and genomics in personalized medicine and how they are transforming the delivery of health care. You’ll also hear Nancy E. Cornish, MD, FCAP, Earl S. Ford, MD, MPH, and Willima E. Winter, MD, FCAP, in the Scientific Plenary, “Metabolic Syndrome: Can the Controversy Become Pathology’s Opportunity?”

Join pathologists from across the country and abroad at CAP ’13 where you can catch up and make new friends . There are several key networking events—all with complimentary food and drinks—you won’t want to miss.

Be sure to visit the Connection Café & Exhibits and check out the latest emerging technology. Our industry partners also have planned several workshops featuring breakfast or dinner, so do sign up.

The Gaylord Palms in Orlando is the perfect location for CAP ’13, where all education sessions, events, and activities are under one roof. We’ll be just 1.5 miles from the front gate of Walt Disney World® and in close proximity to other Orlando theme parks, so bring the family! Be sure to visit cap.org/cap13 regularly to learn about special discounts and deals on Disney parks and activities exclusively for CAP ’13 attendees.

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you as your president. My presidency will conclude at
CAP ’13 as together we celebrate the inauguration of an outstanding leader who will be our 33rd CAP president, Gene N. Herbek, MD, FCAP.

With so many reasons to attend CAP ’13, I invite you to experience a meeting that is truly like no other—please join me at CAP ’13 in Orlando!

Sincerely,

Stanley J. Robboy, MD, FCAP
CAP President
