AP110  Narrowing the Differential Diagnoses of Bone Lesions Seen in Everyday Practice

Potential bone tumors cause pathologists anxiety due to their rarity and the need for specialized understanding of the histopathology and radiologic support. Faculty will present a simplified strategy to render a narrow differential diagnosis emphasizing bone histopathology fundamentals and blending with necessary radiologic and clinico-epidemiologic data. Attendees will be able to handle routine cases in their own laboratories while having a modern understanding of advances in the diagnosis of these entities and the mechanisms that cause their development. Following this session, participants may complete a related online self-assessment module, available at cap.org through December 31, 2013.
