AP112  Molecular Hematopathology in the Era of Personalized Medicine

Medical Knowlege Practice-Based Learning and Improvement

Learn about the role of molecular evaluation in the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic implications in the assessment of patients with hematolymphoid malignancies. Faculty will share both practical and novel information regarding the initiation of testing and choice of assay and instrument platforms through a critical evaluation of techniques and the potential impact on patient care. The presenters will discuss the technical performance of these assays, interpretations of results, and application of these tests to patient care. Lastly, faculty will address the impact of new technologic platforms, including aCGH and next-generation sequencing on molecular diagnostics.
