NEW  AP128  Cervical Squamous and Glandular Lesions: Use of HPV Testing in Cytology and Histology

Wednesday, October 16
8:00–11:30 AM

Patient Care Medical Knowledge

Traditional cytologic-histologic correlation now requires the integration of HPV results from cytologic specimens and ancillary markers on histologic specimens. Take this short course to increase your skills in the integration of cytologic, histologic, and HPV results. Address grey zones such as ASC-H and AGC in cervical cytology or atypical squamous metaplasia and glandular abnormalities in cervical biopsies through a case-based approach. The latest FDA-approved HPV tests and the impact of HPV genotyping on management will be discussed. The course will also review the recent recommendations of the CAP-ASCCP Lower Anogenital Squamous Terminology (LAST) Project for anogenital squamous lesion terminology and use of ancillary markers.

You will learn to:

Christina S. Kong, MD, FCAP
Teri A. Longacre, MD, FCAP
