The center of the pathology universe is the pathology report, but creating value from a courier-font, paper-based document can be challenging. Pathologists now have the opportunity to integrate new technologies and design-minded thinking into what has previously been a static, unbending, and sometimes misinterpreted showcase of our talent. Whole slide imaging, new static imagery, video, treatment algorithms, headlines, targeted summaries, and enhanced e-signatures can all provide opportunities to revive, enhance, and enrich our reports. This course will focus on creating value for patients, by understanding disease processes, for clinicians by providing treatment roadmaps, and for pathologists by increasing marketability and practice enhancement.
