NEW  ST111  Tumor Board: Enhancing the Story to Market Yourself and Your Practice

Tuesday, October 15
4:30–5:30 PM

Interpersonal and Communication Skills Practice-Based Learning and Improvement

Is participating in tumor boards the only time you actually communicate with clinical colleagues face-to-face? Tumor boards are a critical opportunity to present your best and most compelling argument for why pathologists are essential and valued members of the health care team. A good tumor board tells a story—a patient’s story about their treatment journey. That narrative can be boring and formulaic or it can be laced with “lean forward” moments when the audience is at the edge of their seats, ready to experience the next visual discussion point. Learn how to create a memorable tumor conference presentation complete with a toolbox of techniques and PowerPoint template slides to help you develop your own unique story that ensures the best outcome for your patients.
