The skin is the largest and most accessible organ in the body for biopsy, and it is commonly a window into disease processes with significant extracutaneous manifestations. This video microscopy tutorial will include skin biopsies that point to significant extracutaneous disease or provide important guidance for the dermatologist or primary care doctor who is at a therapeutic crossroads. It is often not enough to say dermatitis or provide a descriptive diagnosis, and this case presentation will help you go beyond that in your assessment of morphologic changes. In addition, the session will discuss and illustrate the integration of clinical features into the pathologic assessment of a skin biopsy in this setting.
