Over time, the transformation campaign will include: practice standards development; benchmarking research; advocacy; education; self assessment modules; certificate programs; practica diagnostic and practice management tools; mentoring programs; collegial events involving pathologists and other physicians; and more.

Phase 1 will begin with the CAP Institute, which recognizes the diversity of needs for learning experiences of our members and ensures CAP delivers innovative programs that fulfill the transformation vision. Look for more information to come in the months ahead.

To kick-off the Transformation of the Specialty of Pathology campaign, the CAP Institute will be available to:

  • Teach pathologists about new and existing technologies and how to utilize them
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends and develop programs that target the innovators and early adopters in the specialty
  • Teach pathologists how to take on new roles
  • Help pathologists transform their practice
  • Utilize new and innovative delivery mechanisms
  • Provide pathologists with a method to gage their progress in learning new skills
