Excellent patient care is your first priority.
PT Check Up is designed to help you ensure that your patient test results are correct.
The CAP invites you to consider volunteering for the PT Check Up Advisory Group. We want to hear from you, our customers, to continue to develop this program to meet your needs today and in the future.
It is clearly recognized that laboratory testing plays a crucial role in health care. It is estimated that laboratory test results influence approximately 70 percent of medical decisions. Advances in technology have allowed testing to be performed simply and easily in many testing sites to support today's patient care needs.
Technology advances do not replace the good laboratory practices required to ensure accurate patient test results. Even carefully following manufacturers' instructions may not be enough to provide accurate test results.
Our goal is to provide you with the information you need to sustain good laboratory practice throughout your testing process. To provide you with the most valuable and relevant program possible, we would like you to consider volunteering for our PT Check Up Advisory Group.
The PT Check Up Advisory Group will comprise a core group of participants chosen by the CAP that will meet via conference call at least twice each year with CAP members and staff. The advisory group will work with the CAP members and staff to suggest changes and improvements to the PT Check Up Program. Suggestions for improvement may include adding new analytes, changing the program format, or adding or changing educational and Web-based materials, as a start.
