PT Check Up is designed for physician office laboratories (POLs) that perform waived testing only. It provides easy to use tools to help train your staff, evaluate instrument and method performance, troubleshoot, and assess staff competency. One goal of the program is to help you ensure that your patient test results are correct.
The program is composed of:
Kit contents: One kit for each test you select. Each kit contains instructions, two unknown test samples, answer sheet, answers, and a one-page educational discussion focusing on good laboratory practice as outlined in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. Kits are scheduled to ship on August 25, 2008.

Fecal occult blood
Glucose, whole blood
Hemoglobin (HemoCue instruments only)
HIV-1 Antibody
Steptococcus group A (antigen testing direct
from throat swab)
Urinalysis dipstick, hCG
Viral antigen detection (influenza A, B,
respiratory syncytial virus)
Unknown test samples are provided for each analyte test kit ordered. Two samples are provided for each analyte.
