CAP STS Education Services

CAP STS offers clinical terminology and standards education (SNOMED CT®, LOINC®, RxNorm, etc.) to complement all consulting Professional Services. Education services include:

We incorporate terminology best practices in all of our educational and training products, and all programs can be customized for your organization’s needs and tailored to your audience’s skill level. In addition to our online courses, we offer live, in-person training at our facility, or we can come to you for personalized, hands-on training.

CAP STS has a global presence and has provided consultation and training in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Free Web Teleconference “SNOMED CT Basics”

Would you like to try CAP STS education? Our popular SNOMED Clinical Terms Basics Web teleconference is now being offered at no charge! SNOMED Clinical Terms® (SNOMED CT®) is a globally recognized controlled clinical vocabulary and is a vital component in the Meaningful Use regulations of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The CAP is the organization that originally developed SNOMED CT and currently maintains it for the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO®). Free Web Teleconference “Introduction to the CAP eCC”

CAP STS is now offering the new, free Web teleconference, “Introduction to the CAP electronic Cancer Checklists (CAP eCC).” The 60-minute Web-teleconference program will provide a general introduction to the CAP eCC for vendors, pathologists, and cancer registrars. This program will cover: eCC adaptation from CAP Cancer Protocols, history of the eCC, eCC development, eCC in practice, eCC SNOMED-CT and ICD-O3 encoding and mapping to CSv2, synoptic and structured data reporting, data transmission with NAACCR Vol V/ HL7 messaging, and the future direction of the eCC. First-Time User Orientation—How to Register for Courses

It’s easy to participate in CAP STS education. Our Learning Management System offers online registration; payment; receipt of course materials; course notifications, certificates of completion; and tracking of your completed courses.

Step 1
Become a registered user. After you have registered, you will receive an email message within one business day verifying that your account has been activated.
Step 2
Log in with your user ID and password—from any page on www.cap.org. Then, review the online Education Course Catalog and take a course. If you encounter any problems, let us help you in Step 3.
Step 3
Contact us at (800) 323-4040, ext. 7700 or (847) 832-7700, or capsts@cap.org, and we will personally register you for your courses.
