Pathologists Quality Registry Dashboard

The Pathologists Quality Registry is a cloud-based platform that uses automatically extracted and manually entered or uploaded pathology report data for submission to the CMS. Patient data is protected in compliance with HIPAA and federal regulations. Registry participants can view and track estimates of their MIPS scores in the Quality and Improvement Activities reporting categories using the registry's dashboard throughout the reporting period.

2022 enrollment for system integration options is now closed. Manual entry options (data entry with web tool and manual file upload) remains open until August 31, 2022.

Once enrolled, our vendor partner FIGmd will to work with individual sites interested in data transfer automation to determine whether the system integration option is feasible for your practice. The CAP will provide more information about using the registry's comprehensive dashboard for monitoring performance throughout the 2022 performance period.

Newly enrolled practices will work with the CAP Registry staff to determine the measures they will report for 2022. The deadline for measure selection is July 15. All data for 2022 must be entered in the registry by January 15, 2023; no additional 2022 data can be accepted into the registry beyond this deadline.

CMS submission calls will be scheduled in January through early March. On your submission call, you will select your quality measures to submit, attest to improvement activities, sign the data consent release forms and click ‘Submit’ to complete their 2022 data transmission to the CMS.

Since 2017, the Pathologists Quality Registry has been approved by the CMS as a qualified clinical data registry (QCDR). Benefits of the QCDR distinction and the Pathologists Quality Registry include:

  • Pathologists have access to report on more measures than in any other reporting solution.
  • Unlike Medicare Part B claims submission, pathologists can submit on multiple MIPS categories through this one mechanism. The Pathologists Quality Registry helps reduce the burden of reporting on pathologists by offering MIPS reporting for multiple performance categories.
  • You can track your performance and reporting progress throughout the year and see benchmarking information for quality improvement
  • The registry can report information on all of your applicable cases, whereas Medicare Part B claims submission is only for your Medicare cases.
