The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) finalized the Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: ONC Deregulatory Actions to Unleash Prosperity (HTI-5 Final Rule), which streamlines requirements in the ONC Health IT Certification Program and establishes a foundation for Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)-based requirements.
What we asked for: Earlier this year, we urged ONC to maintain transparency requirements for predictive decision support interventions, including AI, in certified health IT. We also supported an exception to the Information Blocking Rule for pathology and laboratory results.
What changed:
