The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) has released the final version of USCDI+ Quality v2, which is intended to support digital quality measurement through standardized, interoperable data elements used across quality programs.
Earlier this year, we urged ONC to align laboratory data standards across USCDI and USCDI+ Quality. We also identified discrepancies in several laboratory data elements and raised concerns about a proposed standard that might not be appropriate for pathology specimen information.
What changed: ONC addressed our concerns by strengthening alignment with USCDI and updating laboratory-related data elements.
