College of American Pathologists Announces 2026 Board of Governors Election Results

NORTHFIELD, Ill. (August 27, 2026) — Members of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) have elected four new governors to help lead the organization. Governors serve three-year terms and work with fellow CAP members on the Board to provide strategic leadership and oversight for the CAP.

The following CAP Fellows were elected as governors:

  • Aaron Auerbach, MD, MPH, FCAP, Silver Spring, Maryland
  • Diana Marcella Cardona, MD, MBA, FCAP, Winston-Salem, North Carolina
  • Kisha Mitchell Richards, MD, FCAP, Greenwich, Connecticut
  • Eva M. Wojcik, MD, FCAP, Maywood, Illinois

The incoming Governors will be sworn in during CAP26, at the CAP Meeting of the Membership on October 3, 2026. The meeting also will include recognition of outgoing members of the Board of Governors, the State of the CAP report, the President’s Address, and other business.
