The State of Success

State-level policy matters. In 2025, CAP’s unrelenting advocacy has protected pathologists’ scope of practice across the United States. With the aid of our partner state pathology societies and state medical associations, we’ve helped pass legislation that:

  • Protects against constraints on the quality and scope of our practice
  • Improves health plan network adequacy for enrollee access to pathologists
  • Removes undue legal liability on pathologists and clinical laboratories
