On Wednesday, November 18, the CAP will be hosting its annual Virtual Hill Day, and we want you to register and attend!
Congress will be considering a year-end legislative package which will include health care legislation with direct implications for pathology and laboratory medicine including pending cuts, the physician workforce shortage, prior authorization and more. With a new session of Congress starting in January, it’s important we pass these key legislative priorities, before a new session starts.
Participants will urge Congress to:
-
Protect Medicare physician payment by continuing the 2.5% conversion factor adjustment enacted for 2026 into 2027.
-
Prevent cuts to clinical laboratory services by stopping scheduled 2027 Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule reductions or passing the bipartisan RESULTS Act (H.R. 5269/S. 2761).
The best part: No advocacy experience is required.
-
Meetings are less than 30 minutes, and the CAP handles the scheduling, provides talking points, and pairs members with CAP staff and experienced advocates.
-
Meetings will take place virtually between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM ET, depending on congressional office availability.
Make your voice heard: Most CAP members have never participated in a virtual or in-person Hill Day, and you don’t need to be an advocacy expert or fly out to DC to make an impact. Thirty minutes and your perspective as a pathologist can make a difference.
