- Interactive Surgical Pathology Cases: GI Tumors with CAP Guideline Updates
This live-streamed webinar prepares participants for success by reflecting real-world practice and providing real-time feedback for surgical pathologists to broaden their knowledge and keep current on neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract. Using a case-based approach, expert faculty will present digitally-scanned slide images and focus on a practical, modern approach to diagnosis, ancillary techniques, and common pitfalls.
This approach is meant to replicate the diagnostic and problem-solving processes pathologists use on a daily basis. This webinar will also incorporate updated CAP guidelines related to HER2 testing in gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma and the use of Ki-67 to grade gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive nuanced answers from the faculty and participate by submitting a diagnosis in real-time for each case.
Objectives:
After completing this activity, you should be able to:
- Apply a practical diagnostic approach to GI neoplasia.
- Select and correctly interpret appropriate ancillary studies used in the work-up of GI tumors.
