Validating, Implementing, and Monitoring AI Applications in Laboratory Medicine

Jun 9, 2026 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM CT

AI and machine learning (ML) solutions are becoming more accessible within pathology. While many lab professionals can comfortably evaluate the performance of laboratory assays, their experience in assessing new AI/ML technologies varies. This session will help improve skills for the validation, implementation, and monitoring of AI/ML applications, with a focus on the relevant comparisons and contrasts to laboratory assays—including an example in preanalytical detection in the clinical pathology space.

There are two options to attend the live webinar: 9 AM CT and 8 PM CT. A recording will also be made available after the event.

Objectives:

  • Define key roles and responsibilities in the machine learning life cycle.
  • Explore techniques for validating, deploying, and monitoring models.
  • Reinforce these concepts within a relevant, lab-based example
