New House Bill Would Stop Funding for FDA LDT Oversight

The CAP is supporting new legislation introduced in the House that would withhold funds for the FDA to implement the LDT oversight regulation.

On February 21, Reps. Brad Finstad (R-MN) and Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) introduced the Freedom for Laboratory Innovation and Testing Act to withhold funding for the FDA to enforce the LDT rule. The lawmakers also wrote HHS Secretary Kennedy to rescind the rulemaking as well.

The CAP supports the bill and will provide additional updates as they arise.
