Sep 13, 2022

Description

Is your group or hospital contemplating an affiliation or more limited Medical Lab Directorship of a "rural" healthcare facility? Or are you already providing pathology coverage to the 20% of the US population and almost a third of hospitals in our country that are designated as rural? Learn from the pathologists and family practice clinician on our panel who are seasoned practitioners in rural settings.

Long distances to perform a frozen section, logistics of courier transporting specimens to a central lab, difficulty recruiting and retaining skilled lab/medical professionals, "is this practice for everyone?" and "are rural and urban medicine different?" are among the topics that will be addressed, and solutions provided. Attendees will examine the pros and cons of rural pathology practice in this interactive session.
